Antonio Argüelles has gone through many stages throughout his lifepublic servant, businessman, consultant, writer, public speakerbut, above all, he defines himself as an open water swimmer. Among his sporting achievements, two stand out: the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming and the Oceans Seven. In 2009, he received Mexico's National Sports Award, and in 2015, after being inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, he was named Man of the Year by the World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA). After completing the Oceans Seven in 2017, he was once again named WOWSA Man of the Year. He is also the co-author, along with Nora Toledano, of With Each Stroke: The Endless Blue, a book that tells the story of his English Channel swim.
